Peter Faas, a Dutch food historian,
has written the latest great Roman food book.
Around the Roman
Table: Food and Feasting in Ancient Rome is a hardback
edition with over 300 pages and 150 recipes. This book has great
historical details and will add much to your overall knowledge of
Roman food, dining and table manners. The recipes however are not
for the beginner and some of them (Dolphin Balls) are not going
to be served at most modern tables. |
