BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS

For the week of Nov. 12th, 2003

One of my favorite, most recommended series, of cookbooks is “The Totally . . . (fill in the blank) Cookbook” and apples is no exception to the rule. The Totally Apples Cookbook by Helene Siegel and Karen Gillingham is a small book of 96 pages, and is easy to use and great to eat. This book will become a favorite.
If you are looking for MORE apple recipes The Big, Fat, Red, Juicy Apple Cookbook by Judith Bosley will finish off your apple cookbook collection. Among the 116 recipes are the old standbys but this book also includes unique recipes for; Peanut Butter Apple Muffins, Apple and Chicken Pot Pie, Applesauce Meatloaf, Chocolate Apple Brownies and more.
